RISK: A Recipe For Success

Risk is an aspect of action taken inspite of uncertainty, The concept of risk is the fortitude to bear a loss perhaps that's the reason most individuals prefer not to take risk. To be successful, you need to take risk and ignore fear because no successful  business man has gotten to the peak without having track records of risk taken. Jeff Bezos the world richest man said “To be successful in the world of business, be willing to take risk”.
Risk are life time experiences; If you win you would be happy, If you loose you would be wise. Taking risks expands our courage and opens our initiatives, it exposes us to the dangers of the outer world and increases the capacity of our resilience. If we avoid risk we remain at inertia, The biggest risk is taking no risk.
For example let's take the case of Africans foremost industrialist Aliko Dangote who has an estimated net worth of $15bn as of Dec; 2019. He invested $12bn on his refinary which will be officially active by the ending of this year. Despite getting support from other organizations, this man risked about 90% of his estimated net worth into his business, Now his refinary is capable of producing 650,000 barrels of refined oil per day(bpd), 10.4mt of gasoline, 4.6mt of diesel & 4mt of jet fuel a year, Furthermore it would annually produce 0.69mt of polyproplene, 0.24mt of propane, 32,000t of sulphur & 0.5mt of carbon black feed.
His refinary is expected to be the Africans biggest oil refinary and the world biggest single train facility. The integrated refinary and petrochemical projects is expected to generate 9,500 Direct and 25,000 indirect jobs.
Never be scared of taking risk, For every risk taken is a cup of success to be cheered at the end.
R - Rethink
I - I wount give up
S - be Smart
K - kick start

The workers, under the Joint Action Committee, which is made up of Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities, (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) had last week embarked on a three- day protest over government’s failure to honour the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed with the unions on 20th October, 2020. The committee said other contentious issues that informed the decision to embark on a nationwide industrial action include inconsistencies in IPPIS payment and the delay in the renegotiation of the FGN/ ASUU/SSANU 2009 Agreement. Others are the non-payment of retirement benefits to former members, non-con...

7 Ways You Can Make Yourself More Valuable

Wherever you see yourself in life, do your hardest to make people consider you and your beliefs, because it matters a lot nowadays. For one reason or the other, several individuals in your communities often devalue other citizens, but most importantly because of class. The poor people in our neighborhoods are devalued because money is now seen as the order of the day. Always have a positive effect on people through your presence, and if you don't make an impact, then your absence won't make a difference.   There are eight ways below to help make people respect you and your opinion. 1. Always Keep your word.   Many people, once they see you as a person who sticks to your words, will respect and trust you more. Always guarantee what you know you can do, you should be considered a decent person in no condition should you promise something you can't do. 2. Be polite to others and their views. If you want real individuals to respect you in life, this is very important. Remem...
