RISK: A Recipe For Success

Risk is an aspect of action taken inspite of uncertainty, The concept of risk is the fortitude to bear a loss perhaps that's the reason most individuals prefer not to take risk. To be successful, you need to take risk and ignore fear because no successful  business man has gotten to the peak without having track records of risk taken. Jeff Bezos the world richest man said “To be successful in the world of business, be willing to take risk”.
Risk are life time experiences; If you win you would be happy, If you loose you would be wise. Taking risks expands our courage and opens our initiatives, it exposes us to the dangers of the outer world and increases the capacity of our resilience. If we avoid risk we remain at inertia, The biggest risk is taking no risk.
For example let's take the case of Africans foremost industrialist Aliko Dangote who has an estimated net worth of $15bn as of Dec; 2019. He invested $12bn on his refinary which will be officially active by the ending of this year. Despite getting support from other organizations, this man risked about 90% of his estimated net worth into his business, Now his refinary is capable of producing 650,000 barrels of refined oil per day(bpd), 10.4mt of gasoline, 4.6mt of diesel & 4mt of jet fuel a year, Furthermore it would annually produce 0.69mt of polyproplene, 0.24mt of propane, 32,000t of sulphur & 0.5mt of carbon black feed.
His refinary is expected to be the Africans biggest oil refinary and the world biggest single train facility. The integrated refinary and petrochemical projects is expected to generate 9,500 Direct and 25,000 indirect jobs.
Never be scared of taking risk, For every risk taken is a cup of success to be cheered at the end.

THE POWER OF SETTING DEADLINES

A deadline is a date on or before which something must be completed, it is the time frame to which we have set to accomplish a certain task. Deadline is a mechanism that triggers the mind to complete a task quickly. It is possible to accomplish a task without using the tool deadline, but it is more easier and wiser to use deadlines because it triggers us into a state of urgency, the state where we don't have time to think about excuses, a state where the only option is to actually complete a task, when we set deadlines we create a burden on our heart that a task must be completed within a period of time.       Deadlines directly impact your time therefore, they force you to organize your task in order of priority, so that you are only working on objectives that moves you closer to what you want to accomplish, you have to learn how to focus on your key milestones. Another good thing is that setting a deadline motivates one to think out of the box i...

In the world of business, hardwork is required provided prayer is kept constant. Mogul's don't work for money, they have their money working for them. The secret is they use money to make more money. Like Aliko Dangote once said in a conversation with Aljazeera in 2016. He said; “we in dangote group are not doing like other Africans who keep most of their money in the bank, we fully reinvest whatever we get and keep on investing”. That's a secreat many people have failed to realize, that's why its preferable to start a business as a bachelor where there are no much responsibilities.      There are three category of income received which are;  *Earned income * Passive income  *Portfolio income When you go to school to get a good grade and find a safe secure job, you are working for an earned income.
