6 Powerful Secrets From The World Richest Man. Tips on How He Got to the Top

Elon Musk is the founder, CEO, CTO and chief designer of SpaceX; early investor, CEO and product architect of Tesla, Inc; founder of The Boring Company; co-founder of Neuralink.

He has a lot of titles to his name, that just shows that he knows one source of income isn't sure for anyone and most importantly investment is key.

I'm sure a lot of us must have seen his reply after he was announced as the richest man in the world. He simply wrote, "How Strange, well, back to work". Unlike some of us that make a couple of thousands and start bragging all over the internet.

Today, I'll be sharing with you six secrets revealed by Elon Musk himself in an interview shared by BBC news on how he achieved great success in his business.

1. He Didn't Let Money Drive Him

For Elon Musk, it was never about the money, in fact, he doesn't know how rich he is. He said, "It's not as if there is a pile of cash somewhere, It's just that I have a certain number of votes in Tesla, and SpaceX, and SolarCity, and the marketplace has value on those votes."

He didn't allow money to be his main focus and he doesn't even think he's going to die rich because he still has major projects going on like the base he is building in Mars and all his fortune might just go into it.

2. Follow Your Passions

Elon Musk set up SpaceX because he was discouraged that the US space programme wasn't more ambitious.

He said "I kept expecting us to advance beyond Earth and to put a person on Mars, and have a base on the moon, and have, you know, very frequent flights to orbit," he said.

But when it didn't happen, be decided to start "Mars Oasis Mission", which aimed to send a small greenhouse to the red planet and that led to the birth of the world's cheapest rocket-launching business.

3. Don't Be Afraid To Dream Big

Elon Musk wouldn't have gotten to where he is if he hadn't dreamt big. He looks for opportunities that set him above average and continue dreaming about things that seemed unachievable at that time.

He advised that we should try to do things that are going to matter.

4. Be Ready To Take Risks

You must be prepared for the journey to success is not going to be smooth. Elon has had times when both sides seem too tough to take. He has had to choose between throwing all his money into business that might not yield results and walking away with his money in hand.

Of course he chose the former.

5. Ignore Critics

People will try to bring you down with their words, just do you. Follow your passion and have a clear vision of where you are going.

6. Enjoy Yourself

Don't think of overworking yourself just because of your goal. Take care of yourself.

These are words of advice from the richest man in the world, what are you going to do with it?

Varsity Workers Begin Nationwide Strike Feb 5

Non-teaching staff in universities will commence a nationwide strike from February 15, 2021 over the Federal Government’s handling of the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System(IPPIS), sharing formula of the N40 billion earned academic allowances and non-payment of arrears of the new minimum wage. The workers, under the Joint Action Committee, which is made up of Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities, (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) had last week embarked on a three- day protest over government’s failure to honour the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed with the unions on 20th October, 2020. The committee said other contentious issues that informed the decision to embark on a nationwide industrial action include inconsistencies in IPPIS payment and the delay in the renegotiation of the FGN/ ASUU/SSANU 2009 Agreement. Others are the non-payment of retirement benefits to former members, non-constit
