7 Ways You Can Make Yourself More Valuable

Wherever you see yourself in life, do your hardest to make people consider you and your beliefs, because it matters a lot nowadays. For one reason or the other, several individuals in your communities often devalue other citizens, but most importantly because of class. The poor people in our neighborhoods are devalued because money is now seen as the order of the day. Always have a positive effect on people through your presence, and if you don't make an impact, then your absence won't make a difference.

There are eight ways below to help make people respect you and your opinion.

1. Always Keep your word.

Many people, once they see you as a person who sticks to your words, will respect and trust you more. Always guarantee what you know you can do, you should be considered a decent person in no condition should you promise something you can't do.

2. Be polite to others and their views.

If you want real individuals to respect you in life, this is very important. Remember that the more individuals note that you do not discriminate against individuals who are wealthier or older than you, the more you are valued and appreciated. Always encourage people to understand their beliefs, even though you have the power to stop them. That's going to make them see you as an equal individual and they'll respect you more.

3. Be honest and real forever.

Being honest and sincere about everything they do is one of the best characters a person can have. Many people, once they notice that you are a person of reality, will trust and admire you. Make everything you do authentic in life and see how you are handled by good people.

4. Always be Confident.

Not being confident in yourself is one of the things that makes you and your views devalued by many individuals. There are some brave steps you will take in life people, including your family and friends may not help or encourage you, believe in yourself even though others don't believe in you, continue to do that as long as it's a positive thing because with time many of them will realize that you are really secure in yourself, and they will have no other choice but to give you their support.

5. Choose Success over failure.

This is really important because, due to what you have done in life, individuals appear to respect you. Let no one trick you that big dreams don't come true, always dream big and you're going to be inspired to see success as a friend you have to make. This does not mean doing poor and immoral things to make money, but always engaging in things that are legal in society.

6. Always Dress Neat.

Nowadays, many people prefer to admire how tidy and clean they dress other people. Always try as much as you can to dress neat and clean, especially if you're a man. Because of their dressing style, many lovely and handsome individuals are retarded as ugly and local. Before you dress neat, buy clothes that you can afford, and keep them clean all the time, you mustn't be rich.

7. Always Be mindful of your tone.

In life, the way we talk to people matters a great deal. Always think before talking because resentment can be caused by bad tone. Talking to people in a comprehensible and mannered way is a priority because it plays a very significant role in how people value you and your presence.

Varsity Workers Begin Nationwide Strike Feb 5

Non-teaching staff in universities will commence a nationwide strike from February 15, 2021 over the Federal Government’s handling of the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System(IPPIS), sharing formula of the N40 billion earned academic allowances and non-payment of arrears of the new minimum wage. The workers, under the Joint Action Committee, which is made up of Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities, (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) had last week embarked on a three- day protest over government’s failure to honour the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed with the unions on 20th October, 2020. The committee said other contentious issues that informed the decision to embark on a nationwide industrial action include inconsistencies in IPPIS payment and the delay in the renegotiation of the FGN/ ASUU/SSANU 2009 Agreement. Others are the non-payment of retirement benefits to former members, non-constit
